

Neighborhood safety walks help maintain and improve public safety in the community by increasing the visibility of neighbors, helping to connect neighbors from different blocks, and helping neighbors to work with the police and other city agencies to identify and problem-solve around specific concerns. These walks are most effective when they are organized with various city agencies, such as housing and public works, in addition to the police.
The following neighborhoods currently have active and regular neighborhood safety walks. Many of these groups suspend their walking schedule for the winter-time. Please contact MONSE’s Prevention Coordinator if you are interested in connecting with any of these groups, or if you would like your group to be added to the list:
